Job Opportunity - Grants Coordinator
Hinton Consulting supports non-profits that serve women and girls, people experiencing homelessness, the environment, as well as other causes that bring about social justice. We serve many exciting and innovative clients, making an impact here in Iowa, but also throughout the U.S. and even globally.
Hinton Consulting is located in the Gravitate co-working space in Des Moines' East Village. This contract position allows the flexibility to come into work and have social connections or work from home.
- $25-40 per hour; opportunity for merit-based raises
- 15-25 hours per week; potential for full-time (contract) work
- Job includes administrative grant coordination tasks, grant writing, and grant research
- Must be extraordinarily detail-oriented and able to follow detailed instructions
- College degree required, preferably with a writing focus; grant experience preferred
- Can work remotely primarily, but must have availability for weekday communication between 8am-5pm and be able to meet in person at least once per week.
- Must be fairly tech savvy, familiar with working in OneDrive/Microsoft 365, with Google Sheets and Docs, and be skilled in Excel and Word. Expertise using Word's editing functions is required.
- Opportunity after 1 year of successful work to be considered for an ownership stake in the company.
